Did You Know? Explicit pageURL Override

If a merchandiser fills in the explicit pageURL attribute, it completely overrides your configured URL syntax rules.

💡 Did You Know?

If a merchandiser fills in the explicit pageURL attribute on a product or category, it completely overrides your configured URL syntax rules.

However, its resolution follows a strict hierarchy: the system checks the Product’s explicit pageURL first, then falls back to the Classification Category’s pageURL, and lastly the Primary Category’s pageURL. Even with overrides, global character replacements (like lowercase enforcement) still apply if enabled in Settings.
