💡 Did You Know?
In SFCC, import mode “Replace” is essentially a combination of delete and merge operations — existing data is removed before the new data is imported.
When configuring XML data imports, understanding the difference between Merge, Update, and Replace is critical. Using Replace means any object not included in your import file, or existing beforehand, will be permanently deleted and replaced by the incoming dataset. Always double-check your import mode when running jobs to avoid accidental data loss!
