Did You Know? Undo Replication Limitations

In SFCC, you can undo only the last successful replication.

๐Ÿ’ก Did You Know?

In Salesforce Commerce Cloud (SFCC), you can undo only the last successful replication.

That means if multiple replications are executed consecutively, only the most recent one can be rolled back. Any earlier replication states become unavailable for direct undo.

๐Ÿ” Why does this matter? A rushed or unverified replication to Production can be difficult to recover from if additional replications occur afterward.

โœ… Best practices for safer Production deployments:

  • Validate changes thoroughly in lower environments before replication.
  • Maintain clear replication schedules and deployment discipline.
  • Avoid unnecessary back-to-back replications.
  • Document replication activities and deployment windows.
  • Have a rollback strategy beyond relying solely on the Undo Replication feature.

Replication is more than a deployment stepโ€”it's a critical part of production governance and operational safety.
